With the endless news cycle of despair over the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic dominating the airwaves, we wanted to take a moment to offer up some hope. Obviously the economic impact of this virus is going to take a toll, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. As a bankruptcy attorney I have a lot of people that come into my office in the midst of very difficult financial situations, often times financial situations that seem impossible. Sometimes there’s been a loss of a job and they had to live on credit cards for six months or more; or a catastrophic illness that kept someone out of work for some time and the medical bills seem insurmountable. But whatever the situation, we’ve been able to help our clients find freedom from these situations, wipe out thousands in debt, and get a fresh start in life. We’re very fortunate to have the safety net of the United States Bankruptcy Code, which is there for precisely these types of situations: to provide a fresh start to the honest but unfortunate debtor.
So far, I’m happy to say that I have not encountered a single financial situation that did not have a good solution with hope for the future. So whether you’re a business owner who is seeing your revenue drop dramatically, or someone in an industry where you may have been laid off because all the work has dried up, I want you to know that there is hope for your future. The Coronavirus will come and go, and once it is gone, the economy will reset, revenue will pick up again, and you will be able to get your job back or find another job. And if as a result of the chaos, you’ve accumulated what seems like an impossible amount of debt, remember that there are always options.
We offer a completely FREE no obligation consultation where we evaluate your situation and put different options on the table, both bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy options, to give you hope for your financial future. Like I said, I have yet to encounter a client whose situation was just completely hopeless. There is always a way out, and there is always hope for your future. You may have heard that bankruptcy is just the end of the world and you should never consider it. But there are actually a lot of myths surrounding bankruptcy and I’m going to be doing a video series soon busting those myths. For instance, bankruptcy does not automatically ruin your credit; it actually improves most people’s credit. And you don’t usually lose your house or your car or your stuff in bankruptcy. In fact, it’s very rare to lose any of your property in a bankruptcy. Check back for an update when we release some of these videos soon.
In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, or feel like you’re in a hopeless financial situation, please reach out. To keep you safe, we are now offering FREE online video consultations so you don’t even have to come into the office to discover your options. Go ahead and schedule a FREE consultation now!
